Author of the historical trilogy Nomads. He restored a wide panorama of Kazakh history to literature.
Ilyas Yesenberlin was a historical novelist and a front-line veteran. Before prose he wrote verse and worked in publishing. In the trilogies Nomads and The Golden Horde he created a wide artistic panorama of the Great Steppe.
